What is Pellet Plant?

Pellet Plant Process:

From the picture above, we can naturally find the pellet plant process includes five main procedures, they are chipping & crushing, dying, pelleting, cooling and packing, then raw materials will turn to wood pellets in the end.

 

Chipping 

Firstly raw materials need to be cut into small and uniform particles. You should use wood chipper to chip raw materials into smaller pieces when the thickness is larger than 10mm or the size is over 50 * 50mm. 、

Crushing:

Hammer mill will crush these small pieces into wood powder with diameter less than 3mm.

Drying:  

The favorite pelletizing moisture content is about 13%-15%, however, most raw materials have the moisture content about 50%. In order to cut down moisture content, a dryer is needed in the pellet plant.

Pelleting:

After previous preparations, now you can start to make wood pellets with pellet presses. The pellet mill or machine is the crucial equipment in the pellet plant. But you must avoid impurities like metal or stone in the raw materials to damage die and rollers of pellet machine.

Cooling:

The pellets’ temperature and the moisture content is usually much higher after the pelleting process, for this reason, a cooler is needed to reduce their high temperature and moisture content for better storage purpose.

Packing:

At the aim of longer storage, we must take some actions to prevent these pellets getting damp. In the packing process we provide you our best Semi-Auto Packing Machine.
